"Painting Signs" is Eric's third studio album. Recorded mostly in Tonezone Studios, Kent, England, this album features several new compositions by Eric, as well as tracks written by some of the major influences in American roots music - Rev. Gary Davis, Pop Staples & Jimi Hendrix.
On this album, Eric is joined by bass player/producer Dave Bronze, keyboard player Janne Petersson and Henry Spinetti on the drum stool. Old friends Linda Tillery & The Cultural Heritage Choir provide wonderful backing vocals. The album also includes a live reworking of "Don't Ever Let Nobody Drag Your Spirit Down" featuring Eric duetting with the legendary Wilson Pickett.

Recorded in a Norfolk farmhouse, both live and studio techniques were used. For this album, Eric and his musicians were joined by bass player Dave Bronze, who along with engineer Dave Williams and Eric produced this album.
